Fertilite is a reproductive-medicine group founded in Tijuana in 2007. The Tijuana clinic sits in Hospital Angeles Tijuana, in Zona Río — the part of the city closest to the San Ysidro crossing. U.S. patients from San Diego, the rest of California, Arizona, and Nevada use it because the geography is a land border, not a long-haul medical trip.
That is the actual advantage. “Cheap IVF” is already priced into your search. What this page should do is tell you whether the medical work is real, how many times you cross, and what you will spend after the package line.
Why Tijuana specifically
Tijuana is adjacent to a major U.S. metro with an international airport. Stimulation monitoring can often stay in the United States. Retrieval and laboratory work happen a short crossing away. You can sleep in a Zona Río hotel and, in many cases, recross after discharge. Cancún or Mexico City IVF is a different product: flights, longer stays, harder U.S. monitoring.
How the process works

What it costs
The clinic publishes IVF/ICSI at $4,950 USD and PGT at $2,500 plus $250 per biopsied embryo. Own-egg medication is not in that package. How many visits
Plan on one retrieval trip of several nights. Plan on a second trip if you freeze embryos or add PGT. A partner providing a fresh semen sample needs to be there on retrieval morning unless a frozen or donor sample is already arranged.
Laboratory and doctors
Embryology is directed by Dr. José J. Hernández Ledezma, with a U.S. doctorate in embryology and clinic-listed American Board of Bioanalysis laboratory credentials. Clinical care is directed by Dr. Fabián Walters, a reproductive endocrinologist trained at the National Institute of Perinatology. PGT
PGT-A, PGT-M, and PGT-SR are available as distinct tests. None of them guarantee a baby. Read the PGT page before you add a genetics line to a quote because it sounds modern.
Travel and safety
